Fast-acting to kill and repel fleas, ticks and mosquitoes.PetArmorPro Advanced is fast-acting protection that's ideal for dogs that live and play in heavily flea and tick infested areas. It's guaranteed to kill adult fleas, ticks, and lice. PetArmorPro Advanced takes protection to another level with the second most recommended active ingredient, permethrin, which is clinically proven to work fast and repel adult fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. And, of course, like all other PetArmor products, PetArmorPro Advanced is reasonably priced, so you’ll save a bundle on each monthly dose.
PetArmorPro Advanced provides fast, advanced protection for dogs, combining the two most veterinarian-recommended active ingredients to both kill and repel adult fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes, and kill lice. These active ingredients are fipronil, which kills adult fleas, ticks, and lice, and permethrin, which repels fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes fast.
This superior flea and tick preventative starts to repel within 10 minutes and should be used monthly to provide optimal protection. Because fleas and ticks can be present year-round, even in colder climates, and can lay dormant for several months before hatching, the Companion Animal Parasite Council recommends treating your pet each month throughout the entire year. Used as directed, it can stop infestations and help prevent reinfestation. Apply PetArmorPro Advanced topically only on dogs and puppies aged 8 weeks or older.
PetArmorPro Advanced is available in five different packages for different sized dogs and puppies: 4 to 10.9 lbs., 11 to 22.9 lbs., 23 to 44.9 lbs., 45 to 88.9 lbs., and 89 to 132 lbs. Please do not attempt to adjust your dog’s dose on your own.
To apply PetArmorPro Advanced, remove an applicator from the package, hold it upright and remove the cap. Invert the cap and use the other end of it to push down on the applicator tip to break the seal. Part your dog’s hair until its skin is visible and place the applicator tip directly on the exposed skin.
For small dogs and puppies 8 weeks old or older weighing 4 to 10.9 lbs. or weighing 11 to 22.9 lbs., squeeze the entire contents of the applicator onto the dog’s skin at a single point between the shoulder blades.
For medium dogs that weigh 23-44.9 lbs., or large dogs that weigh 45-88.9 lbs., apply the product evenly to three points on the dog’s back, starting between the shoulder blades and continuing to the second and third spots farther down the back. Squeeze the applicator until it’s empty.
For extra-large dogs that weigh 89-132 lbs., apply the product evenly to four spots on the dog’s back starting between the shoulder blades and continuing to the second, third, and fourth spots farther down the back. Squeeze the applicator until it’s empty. Make sure that the product is not applied superficially on your dog’s hair, and do not get the product in your dog’s eyes or mouth.
PetArmorPro Advanced should NOT be used on cats. The active ingredient, permethrin, should be used only on dogs and never on cats. Exposure in cats can be harmful and even deadly. Consider using PetArmor for Cats instead. It is equally effective as Frontline products at killing adult fleas, ticks, and chewing lice. Keep treated pets apart from each other or other pets for 24 hours after treatment and until the product is dry to prevent pets from licking the product off one another.
Read the entire label carefully before using any product on your pet. For more information, please call 1-888-908-8425.
Both products are equally effective at killing adult fleas and ticks because both contain fipronil, the number one veterinarian-recommended active ingredient. The difference is that PetArmorPro Advanced also contains a fast-acting second ingredient, permethrin, that works quickly to repel fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. Importantly, PetArmorPro Advanced cannot be used on cats as it is specially formulated for dogs only; for cats, please use PetArmor® for Cats.
No! PetArmorPro Advanced contains permethrin and should only be used on dogs, and never used on cats. Exposure in cats can be harmful and even deadly due to their unique physiology and inability to metabolize certain compounds. Consider using PetArmor for Cats instead. PetArmor for Cats is proven to be as effective as Frontline® products at killing fleas, ticks, and chewing lice.
PetArmorPro Advanced kills and repels fleas, ticks, lice, and mosquitoes. It kills the four major types of ticks including Deer or Black-Legged ticks, American Dog ticks, Lone Star ticks, and Brown Dog ticks. In addition, PetArmorPro Advanced helps control mites that cause sarcoptic mange in dogs, and also repels biting flies.
Since PetArmorPro Advanced will kill and repel mosquitoes, can I stop giving my dog his heartworm medication?
No. Even though heartworm is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito, we do not recommend discontinuing use of heartworm medication. Consider using PetTrust™ Plus, which is the generic equivalent of Heartgard® Plus and is conveniently available at Walmart pharmacies and online at walmart.com.
Yes. PetArmorPro Advanced can be used in combination with our FastAct® Flea & Tick Shampoo and FastAct® Flea & Tick Spray. You should not use PetArmorPro Advanced with any other “spot on” treatment during the course of a one-month period, or with any collars that contain pyrethroids or fipronil. PetArmorPro Advanced should be applied every 30 days. If you would like specific advice about your particular circumstance, please call 1-855-ASK-FIDO (M - F, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. ET).
We recommend that you consult your veterinarian before using any flea and tick product on an older pet.
PetArmorPro Advanced can be applied on dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age and older. Never apply it to a puppy younger than 8 weeks.
No. PetArmorPro Advanced is not formulated for use on dogs under 4 pounds. The product is specifically measured for a certain weight of a dog and you should use only the product that is labeled for your dog’s weight.
If your dog is over 132 pounds, we suggest you discuss treatment with your veterinarian.
This product has not been tested on dogs in these life stages. PetArmorPro Advanced for Dogs should not be used on pregnant, nursing, or breeding dogs unless directed by your veterinarian.
No. You should not use any flea and tick product more than is indicated on the product labeling. Importantly, with a product like PetArmorPro Advanced, it is not necessary.
We recommend that you not bathe your dog for 24 hours before or after you apply PetArmorPro Advanced. The active ingredient, fipronil, requires the natural oils on the skin (the lipid layer) to diffuse across the surface of the dog. Removing this lipid layer by bathing either before or after treatment may decrease the efficacy of PetArmorPro Advanced.
No, but wait 24 hours before letting your dog go in the water. Swimming 24 hours after application does not affect the efficacy of PetArmorPro Advanced.
I have more than one pet in my house. Is it safe for my dogs and cats to be around the dog that has been treated with PetArmorPro Advanced?
It is best to keep treated pets apart until the wet PetArmorPro Advanced is fully dry. Keep any treated dogs separate from one another, and especially from cats, for 24 hours after treatment has been applied and the product is dry.
My dog’s coat turned darker. Is this normal? Will it go away? Will PetArmorPro Advanced change the color of my dog’s coat?
All topical products applied to dogs have the potential to change hair color. The most common color change is seen in dogs with blond or buff coats. In these dogs, the coat may become slightly darker at the site of application. These dark areas will fade with time.
Yes. Multiple clinical trials conducted by independent research laboratories indicate that PetArmorPro Advanced is both highly efficacious and safe. Studies were conducted testing the product’s efficacy against fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes, including both at the onset of action and for the duration of action.
Is it normal to still see fleas and ticks on my pet a few days after treating it with PetArmorPro Advanced?
Yes. The fleas you are seeing are likely those that are responding to the product. Right after application with PetArmorPro Advanced, fleas and ticks get very active as they’re dying and they often move to the top of the dog’s coat where they are more visible. This is actually a sign that the product is working. We recommend that you continue to treat all dogs in your house with PetArmorPro Advanced every month throughout the year. If you are still not satisfied after continued treatment, please call 1-855-ASK-FIDO (M - F, 9 a.m - 8 p.m. ET) so we can help you further. Yes. Multiple clinical trials conducted by independent research laboratories indicate that PetArmorPro Advanced is both highly efficacious and safe. PetArmorPro Advanced is also approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as safe and effective.
Call your veterinarian immediately. Because of your cat’s unique metabolism, ingestion of permethrin can be fatal. To prevent any additional ingestion, wash with a degreasing soap (such as Dawn® dishwashing liquid) and rinse with large amounts of water.
