PetArmor® Max for Dogs


PetArmor Max for Dogs topical treatment features a waterproof formula that kills fleas within 12 hours on contact, no bite required. With the same active ingredients used in K9 Advantix® II*, it starts by killing and repelling adult fleas, ticks, and mosquitos for up to four weeks, then it breaks the flea lifecycle by preventing flea larvae and flea eggs from maturing. Use year-round for the optimal pest control for your number one companion.

Fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes can be present all year round, even in colder climates, and can lay dormant for several months before hatching. PetArmor and the Companion Animal Parasite Council recommend treating your dog each month throughout the year to help prevent flea and tick infestations. Used a directed, PetArmor Max can stop outbreaks and help prevent reinfestation.


Applying PetArmor Max flea and tick protection at home is easy. Just follow these steps each time you use the product.


The correct application starts with purchasing the right product. Before purchasing, weigh your dog. Don't guess! It is essential to know your dog's exact weight. PetArmor Max for Dogs is available in four different weight breaks for dogs and puppies: 4 to 10 pounds, 11 to 20 pounds, 21 to 55 pounds, and over 55 pounds. DO NOT attempt to split doses between dogs.

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT ON CATS. Be sure to choose dog products for dogs and cat products for cats. These products are different formulations based on the species and your pet's weight and SHOULD NEVER be used interchangeably.

Don't forget to consider your dog's age. ONLY use PetArmor Max for Dogs on dogs and puppies 7 weeks or older.

Keep treated pets apart from each other, other pets, and children for 24 hours after treatment and until the product is dry. Separating pets helps prevent pets from ingesting the topical by licking or grooming one another.

  1. Remove product tubes from the package.
  2. Separate one tube from the others.
  3. Hold the tube with notched end pointing up and away from the face and body. Use scissors to cut off the narrow end at the notches along the line.
  4. Invert tube over dog and use open end to part your dog's hair.
  5. Squeeze tube firmly to apply all of the solution to the dog's skin as a spot to the dog's back between the shoulder blades.
  6. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water

Why is it important to use a product with an IGR?

IGRs will not affect existing flea pupae but prevents treated flea eggs from hatching. So, while existing pupae and adults will survive an IGR treatment, eggs and larvae will not develop to produce a new generation.

Adulticides kill pupa, nymph and adults. IGRs and adulticides work together to eliminate the entire flea lifecycle.

How do these products spread over a pet’s body? How long does this take?

This product is topical only and is dispersed over your furry family member’s body by the natural oils on their skin and attaches to the hair follicle. This process can take up to 24 hours.

How long will it take for this product to begin to work?

The product should begin to kill fleas within 12 hours of contact with your pet.

What is the difference between this product and oral flea products?

This product is applied to your pet topically and kills fleas through contact with the product on your pet’s skin, so fleas don't have to bite to die. With oral flea medications, fleas must bite your furry family member and be exposed to the medication in the pet before the fleas are killed.

How do I apply this product?

Applying this product to your dog is simple and convenient. Invert the tube and use the narrow end to part the dog's hair. Squeeze the tube firmly to apply all of the solution making sure to get the product all the way down to the skin. Do not apply more often than once every 4 weeks.

How long does this product last? How often should I use it?

A single application of this product stops biting fleas, flea eggs and larvae, and ticks up to one month. You can use it year-round to help keep your pet protected from fleas and ticks.

Can I put a flea and tick collar on the dog after I have applied the squeeze-on?

No. This will put your pet at risk of an overdose of flea/tick product.
